Community Council Meeting

Regular Monthly Meeting of the Trout Lake Community Council.

At this point in time, we don’t have any guest speakers planned for our meeting and will be catching up on our on-going topics such as land-use planning, affordable housing, and our program of work.

As in past years, the Council will have a table at the Trout Lake Community Fair (August 1), with information on the Council as well as a display of noxious weeds that are found in our valley. Stop by and see what you need to look out for on your property to help us control the spread of these weeds. Noxious weeds are non-natives and, therefore, there are not any natural controls on their populations. As a result, they can aggressively take over areas, crowding out our native species. Some noxious weeds are harmful to pets and livestock, so knowing what they look like, and how to control them, can be invaluable. We hope to see you at the Fair!
