PLEASE NOTE: This is a private group. To join you must agree to the Group Guidelines (below) and successfully and completely answer several security questions. Skip a question and the Facebook system automatically rejects your request to join. (Some mobile phones apps can cause problems with the Facebook security questions. We recommend you use a computer web browser to join the group.)
In addition: requests to add your friends to the group are ignored. Your friends must request membership on their own and answer all of the security questions.
Group Guidelines
- “Be courteous, kind, and forgiving. Be gentle and peaceful each day. Be warm and human and grateful. And have a good thing to say.” – Steve Martin
- This Facebook Group is for current Trout Lake area residents. Former residents with a sense of humor are welcome to follow along.
- Post only items unique to the Trout Lake area. For example: ride sharing, events, happenings, photos, needs, help you can offer, concerns, questions, fundraisers, power outages, lost pets, children you forgot to pick up, cougars, family, friend and other strictly community related stuff.
- Post your political and religious opinion somewhere else. It is okay to remind people to vote or when there is a potluck or guest speaker. Nothing more.
- No repeated ads for self-promotion or businesses. Infrequent mention of something unique or special is okay. Otherwise, use your Facebook Business Page or website.
- If you must, briefly mention you are having a yard sale. Otherwise, use the classified pages to sell your arts and crafts and valuable treasures.
- The administrators may remove any posts or member for any reason.
